The proposed GPS monitoring would be required by a bail release order from an Ontario court, conditional sentence from an Ontario court (or that has been transferred to Ontario), parole certificate from the Ontario Parole Board, or a temporary absence permit from an Ontario institution. Note that other types of release such as Probation Orders and Peace Bonds are NOT eligible.

The proposed participant is an adult and the charges are adult charges. The GPS program is NOT available for youth or in relation to youth charges.

The proposed terms would require the person to be monitored to reside in Ontario for the entire time that the monitoring is required. If the order requires or permits the proposed participant to reside in another province, the case will NOT be eligible for GPS monitoring.
